It's been a little more than a week since I arrived in London. I've been trying to figure out if I want to keep a blog of this 3 and a half months and I've decided to go for it. I don't know how often I will blog since this is my first blog ever and I'll be pretty busy but I'll try to do at least once a week and keep you guys updated :).
This first week has been amazing. I arrived the morning of Saturday the 30th and went to drop my bags at the housing management place since we couldn't get into our flats until 2pm we decided to walk around London and just look around we ended up having lunch at a Chinese place and then went to get our keys. It was a very interesting trip from management to our flats carrying suitcases made the walk fun (not really lol) but we all made it. The flats we are staying in are really nice and they are close to Winston house (where I take my classes) and the building is a close walk or bus ride to a lot of the cool places you can visit. London is beautiful! I love the fact that you can walk mostly anywhere and if not you can take the tube and be somewhere pretty quick.
On sunday we went on a tour of London and it was really cool! we got to see Big Ben, Westminster abbey, Buckingham palace. It was awesome! This past week has been really cool, I've enjoyed my classes a lot although it has been a little difficult to stay in and do work because I want to go out and see the city and go places but as of now I've managed it. I started my internship on Monday and i'm really excited about it. My supervisor is pretty awesome and I'm going to get to shadow some of the sessions that she does with the clients. For those of you that don't know I'm working with Solace Women's Aid an organization that helps victims of domestic violence. I probably won't write too much about what i'm doing in the internship since a lot of the stuff is confidential but I will keep you guys updated as much as I can. God has been really good and I can't wait to see in what ways he uses this trip for his glory and how much I learn in this 3 months. Below are some pictures of what I did this week :)
